Paradise Season 2 Finale Attracts 4.3 Million Views in Just 3 Days
The second season of Paradise concluded with impressive viewership figures, both literally and figuratively. The finale, which premiered on March 30, attracted 4.3 million global views within three days on Disney+ and Hulu, marking a 35% increase from the season premiere and establishing a new high for the sci-fi series.
While comparisons to Season 1 are complicated due to Disney’s decision to release only seven-day numbers for that installment, Hulu indicated that the Season 1 finale garnered 6.3 million views in its first week. Furthermore, the inaugural episode of the series received 7 million views in the first nine days following its release.
To date, audiences have streamed an impressive 13 billion minutes of Paradise, according to Hulu.
Season 2 follows protagonist Xavier, portrayed by Sterling K. Brown, as he embarks on a quest to locate his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma), after uncovering that she, along with other survivors, has remained in the outside world. This marks Xavier’s first venture beyond the confines of the Paradise bunker since the planet’s devastation. In his search, he encounters various survivor groups, discovering how they endured in the three years since Earth’s catastrophe. Meanwhile, back in Colorado, tensions within the community exacerbate as trust issues and hidden secrets come to light.
The season features a strong ensemble cast, including Brown, Julianne Nicholson, Okuma, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Recurring guest stars include James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers.
Paradise is created and executive produced by Dan Fogelman, known for This Is Us. The 20th Television production also includes executive producers Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, and Brown.
