Hulu Renews Hit Series Paradise for Third Season Ahead of Season 2 Finale
Hulu has announced the renewal of Paradise, the acclaimed drama series created by Dan Fogelman and featuring Sterling K. Brown, for a third season. This decision comes just before the airing of the Season 2 finale on March 30.
Since its Season 2 debut on February 23, the post-apocalyptic thriller has consistently ranked among the top shows on the streaming platform, holding a position on its Top 15 Today list. The series has garnered significant viewership, amassing 30 million hours for Season 2 alone, alongside an impressive 25 million hours for its first season. In total, Paradise has received nearly 12 billion minutes of streaming worldwide, according to Disney statistics.
The first season of Paradise received four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, with acting nominations for Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, and Julianne Nicholson. With critical acclaim building, the series appears to be a strong contender in the upcoming awards cycle.
In the Season 1 finale, Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) discovers that his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma), is alive outside their bunker. This revelation propels him on a quest to find her, marking his first journey beyond the Paradise shelter since Earth’s devastation. Throughout his search, he encounters various survivor groups and learns how they have managed to endure the catastrophe. Meanwhile, tensions escalate back in Colorado as the community grapples with issues of trust and hidden secrets.
Season 2 features a talented cast including Brown, Nicholson, Okuma, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Notable recurring guest stars include James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers.
Paradise is created and executive produced by Fogelman, known for This Is Us, alongside executive producers Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, and Brown. Season 2 is currently available for streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for U.S. bundle subscribers, as well as on Disney+ for international viewers.
