Oxnard Woman Charged with Two Infant Murders After Breakthrough in Cold Case
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – Marisol Flores, a 30-year-old resident of Oxnard, now faces two counts of murder after prosecutors linked her to a cold-case infant death from 2015 during their investigation of a recent homicide.
Flores was previously charged in February 2026 with the alleged killing of her newborn at a homeless encampment on West Vineyard Avenue in Oxnard. As authorities delved deeper into that case, they reopened a decade-old investigation surrounding the death of Flores’ 25-day-old infant in November 2015.
New evidence emerged during the inquiry into the 2026 incident, prompting prosecutors to file an amended complaint on March 10, which included additional counts of murder and assault on a child causing death related to the earlier case.
