Orange County DJ Faces Charges for Alleged Attack on Unconscious Teen
Los Alamitos Man Charged with Sexual Assault and Child Pornography
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – Glen Canyon Childers, a 32-year-old children’s entertainer from Los Alamitos, has been charged with multiple felony offenses, including the sexual assault of an unconscious 17-year-old girl and the possession of child pornography. These serious allegations follow reports that a minor was drugged and assaulted.
Childers was arrested by the Los Alamitos Police Department last Tuesday. He faces felony counts that include rape of an unconscious person, rape by use of drugs, and possession of child pornography. Additionally, he is charged with seven misdemeanor counts related to the possession of controlled substances.
Authorities allege that Childers provided illicit drugs to the victim before the assault. Following his arrest, he was released on a $100,000 bond.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer condemned the actions in a public statement, emphasizing the lasting impact of sexual violence. "The trauma endured by victims of sexual assault is a sentence that they can never escape," he said. "Crimes of sexual violence will never be tolerated, and we as a society must send a strong message that no child is a sexual object."
Childers is scheduled to be arraigned on March 26. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of eight years and eight months in state prison, along with an additional year in the Orange County Jail.
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information related to Childers or potential additional victims to come forward, citing concerns given his role as a DJ for children’s events.
