One Tree Hill Stars Bring Everyone Is Doing Great to Netflix with Season 2 Release Date
The first two seasons of Everyone Is Doing Great will be available on Netflix starting May 11. The streaming giant has secured exclusive global rights to the series through a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television.
Created by James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, known for One Tree Hill, Everyone Is Doing Great presents a humorous yet poignant coming-of-age narrative. The story revolves around former co-stars, friends, and lovers — Seth (Colletti), Jeremy (Lafferty), Andrea (Alexandra Park), and Izzy (Cariba Heine) — who reunite to navigate life’s uncertainties and absurdities.
The first season of Everyone Is Doing Great was initially acquired by Hulu in 2020, which aired the eight-episode season in 2021. The Netflix agreement also marks the world premiere of Season 2.
Earlier this year, Netflix and Sony Pictures Entertainment entered a groundbreaking licensing deal worth over $7 billion for Sony’s film and television properties, which encompasses Everyone Is Doing Great.
“What James and Stephen have created with Everyone Is Doing Great captures what makes great indie television so compelling – it’s raw, authentic, hilarious, and full of heart,” stated Paul Littmann, EVP of Global Distribution for Sony Pictures Television. “Netflix is the ideal platform to bring this incredibly special show to audiences worldwide.”
The second season will feature guest appearances from Jamie Chung, Phoenix Washington, Bryan Greenberg, Jessica McNamee, Robbie Jones, Merritt Patterson, Aaron Staton, Nichelle Hines, among others.
The series is created and executive produced by Lafferty and Colletti. The second season also includes executive producers Ian Nelms, Eshom Nelms, Michelle Lang, Johnny Derango, Alexandra Park, Ngoc Nguyen, Stuart Lafferty, Rocque Trem, and Garrett Greer. The series is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
