Police Shooting in Mid-City Los Angeles Leaves Armed Individual Injured
An armed individual was injured during a police shooting early Tuesday morning in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Alsace Avenue, when officers responded to reports of a person in possession of a weapon.
According to police reports, the individual was shot in the upper body after an officer discharged their firearm. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the officers involved. The condition of the injured person is currently stable and they have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
City News Service noted that the LAPD officers arrived on the scene following complaints that the individual had pointed a gun at another person who had requested that they lower their music volume.
