OC Officials Ask for Assistance in Identifying Human Remains Discovered Along Santa Ana River Trail
Help Sought to Identify Skeletal Remains Found in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – Authorities are requesting assistance from the public to identify the remains of a man discovered near Yorba Regional Park. A hiker made the grim discovery on October 11 while walking along the Santa Ana River Trail, prompting an investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
In an effort to generate leads, officials have released an artist’s sketch of the individual. Described as a white male between the ages of 25 and 40, he is estimated to stand about 5 feet 10 inches tall and may have had short brown hair.
At the time of his death, the man was wearing an oversized black shirt with "fuego" emblazoned on the front, khaki Dickies pants (size 38 x 34), and white Nike Air Force 1 shoes paired with white socks. While the clothing was intentionally large, authorities believe he was of average size and build.
Those with any information related to this case are encouraged to get in touch with the Orange County Coroner’s Office at 714-647-7400.
