North West, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye "Ye" West, has embraced an edgy fashion aesthetic, showcasing her bold new look in a recent TikTok video. The clip, shared on January 4, features North sporting a new bridge piercing, a striking blacked-out grill, and a dazzling 106-carat custom skull necklace.
A bridge piercing, which is a horizontal surface piercing through the skin on the bridge of the nose, was featured prominently as North offered a close-up of her unique accessories. In the video, she and a friend danced and lip-synced to popular songs, both adorned with ball-shaped facial piercings. Notably, North’s bridge piercing was absent from her latest post, suggesting it was easily removable.
Jeweler Alex Moss, who designed the skull necklace, confirmed that the one-of-a-kind piece was gifted to North by her mother for Christmas. Moss described the necklace as crafted from 71.49 and 35.38 carats of natural diamonds, inspired by a previous design he created for rapper Playboi Carti. He also designed a custom bracelet for North, made from Italian leather and featuring 22.76 carats of VVS-grade white diamonds.
North has shown a fearless approach to her personal style, similar to her iconic parents. Recently, she sported sparkling fang-like grills over the holiday season, adding to her distinct look after debuting black grills in October.
Her boldness extends beyond jewelry; North has also experimented with hair and tattoos, bleaching her eyebrows and showcasing faux face tattoos, including a star under one eye and her name on her cheek. During a trip to Rome with Kardashian in late August, she was seen with a dermal piercing on her right middle finger, a piercing style that lies flat against the skin.
In a previous interview, Kardashian defended her daughter’s fashion choices, emphasizing the importance of allowing her creative self-expression. "She’s really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people,’” Kardashian noted. She also acknowledged the challenges of parenting, admitting that she learns as she goes.
