Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris, and Corrado Invernizzi Join the Cast of Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed
Netflix has confirmed that Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris, and Corrado Invernizzi have been cast in its highly anticipated series adaptation of the hit Ubisoft video game Assassin’s Creed. They join previously announced cast members Lola Petticrew, Toby Wallace, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, and Tanzyn Crawford.
The series, developed by showrunner and executive producer Robert Patino alongside David Wiener, presents a high-octane thriller that delves into the secret war between two enigmatic factions. One aims to shape humanity’s future through control and manipulation, while the other strives to uphold free will. This narrative follows characters across significant historical events as they compete to influence the course of human destiny.
Details regarding the specific roles of Rapace, Bedia, Harris, and Invernizzi remain undisclosed.
Since its inception in 2007, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has sold over 230 million games globally, solidifying its status as one of the best-selling video game series in history. The franchise was previously adapted into a feature film in 2016, directed by Justin Kurzel and featuring Michael Fassbender. Ubisoft first announced plans for a television adaptation in 2017.
This new series adds to Netflix’s growing portfolio of video game adaptations, which includes titles such as Castlevania, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and the upcoming Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Notably, Arcane, inspired by League of Legends, has garnered both Annie and Emmy Awards for its animated storytelling.
The executive production team includes Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones from Ubisoft Film & Television, and Matt O’Toole.
