Noel Gallagher Shares His Thoughts on Oasis Writing the Next James Bond Theme Song

Oasis has addressed speculation regarding their potential involvement in writing the theme song for the next James Bond film.

In a recent interview on talkSPORT Drive, Noel Gallagher discussed the possibility of the band contributing to the upcoming film, known as “Bond 26.” When host Andy Goldstein inquired if he would welcome a call from long-time Bond producer Barbara Broccoli regarding the theme, Gallagher replied humorously, “I’d say, ‘Alright Babs,'” adding that it would be “an absolute honor.”

Gallagher expressed his belief that theme songs for the series should be composed by British artists rather than Americans. Despite not having received a call from the Bond team yet, he remained open to appearing in the film. “I’ll play a villain, I’ll play a Mancunian villain!” he remarked.

The last actor to portray James Bond was Daniel Craig, who stepped away from the series following his fifth film, No Time to Die, released in 2021. Callum Turner has also been mentioned as a candidate for the role but recently stated he hasn’t had any discussions about taking on the iconic character, praising Broccoli as an “amazing producer.”

Gallagher praised Barbara Broccoli, stating, “She makes incredible films. I’d love to work with her in any capacity.”

Other names have surfaced as potential candidates for the iconic role, including Jacob Elordi, known for Euphoria and Saltburn, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who starred in Bullet Train.

In October 2023, Broccoli indicated that work on the next Bond installment had “not even begun.” She noted, “Daniel gave us the ability to mine the emotional life of the character … and there’s a big, big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter.”

Meanwhile, Oasis continues to make headlines as Noel and Liam Gallagher launched their Oasis Live ’25 Tour, which ran from July to November 2025.
