Nicole Kidman and Daughter Sunday Rose Shine Together in Sequins and Stylish Hair at the Met Gala
Nicole Kidman graced the Met Gala 2026 red carpet in New York City on Monday, accompanied by her 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose Urban, who made her debut at the prestigious event.
Kidman, 58, dazzled in a vibrant red Chanel gown adorned with sequins, complete with a feathered peplum and cuffs. Meanwhile, Urban opted for a striking pale purple dress from Dior, which featured embroidered 3D embellishments that enhanced its voluminous silhouette.
Both women styled their hair in matching long, straight locks parted in the middle. Kidman, serving as a co-chair for the event alongside Beyoncé and Venus Williams, accentuated her look with diamond earrings and oversized cocktail rings that complemented her gown.
In a nod to this year’s “Costume Art” theme, Kidman’s ensemble showcased both sleek lines and curves, while her understated makeup featured matching smoky eyes, a style shared with her daughter.

Kidman further emphasized the night’s luxury aesthetic by donning a vintage Omega “Manhattan” watch, crafted from 18-karat gold and adorned with 224 diamonds, showcasing both timeless elegance and a personal connection to the city.
Kidman, who previously co-chaired the gala in 2003 and 2005, expressed her excitement ahead of the event, noting her daughter’s passion for fashion. “I’m so, so happy, and my daughter Sunday will be coming,” Kidman shared on the “Las Culturistas” podcast.
Sunday’s burgeoning career has seen her walk for renowned designers like Dior and Calvin Klein, and she has appeared on covers of prominent fashion magazines, expressing that her mother is her “biggest inspiration.” As Kidman navigates both her professional and personal transitions, this Met Gala marking a significant event in their journey together.
