Prime Video Unveils First Look at ‘Ride or Die’ Starring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham
Prime Video has officially released the first images from its forthcoming action-adventure series Ride or Die, featuring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham in leading roles. The show, which is set to premiere on July 15, will be available to stream with all eight episodes across more than 240 countries and territories. The announcement was made during Amazon’s Upfront presentation in New York City on Monday.
Created by Tessa Coates, Ride or Die follows the story of best friends Debbie Claybourne (Spencer) and Judith Burton (Waddingham). Their lives are turned upside down when Judith, revealed to be an international assassin, faces a threat from a figure in her past. As their worlds collide, the pair embark on a desperate journey across Europe, pursued by law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and dangerous criminals.
The cast also includes Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, and Jacky Ido.
Coates serves as an executive producer along with showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s Double Dream and Spencer’s Orit Entertainment.
Executive producers include Coates, Miller, and Reed, along with Spencer for Orit Entertainment; Waddingham; Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Irene Yeung for Double Dream; Brian Clisham; and Stephanie Kluft.
The anticipation surrounding Ride or Die suggests it will be a thrilling addition to Prime Video’s lineup in July.
