New Horror Film ‘Experiment 11’ from the Makers of ‘Scare Tactics’ and ‘The Blair Witch Project’ Heads to Cannes Market
EXCLUSIVE: Experiment 11, a forthcoming horror film from the creators of Scare Tactics and The Blair Witch Project, is set to begin production next month in Canada. The film will also be featured at this year’s Cannes Market through Prestige International Pictures.
Directed by Kevin Healey, who co-created Scare Tactics, the film is based on Healey’s original story and screenplay. He is producing alongside executive producers Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale, known for their work on The Blair Witch Project. The narrative unfolds inside a mysterious medical research facility, where a group of participants becomes entangled in a rapidly escalating experiment linked to the future of humanity.
Executive producers Corey Tindall and Carson Howell of Tillt Studios, along with Anthony Standberry of iThink Productions, will contribute to the project. Additionally, producers Eric Birnberg, Thomas Walden, Thomas Vencelides, and Lainie Elton represent High Park Entertainment, an Ontario-based studio with past credits including Out Come The Wolves and Trigger Point.
“I’ve spent much of my career exploring the intersection of horror, realism, and social experimentation, so Experiment 11 feels like the culmination of everything I love creatively,” Healey stated.
He further expressed his excitement about working with Sanchez and Hale, saying, “To now be collaborating with Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale — whose work on The Blair Witch Project fundamentally changed immersive horror for an entire generation — is surreal for me personally.”
“This film is ambitious, experimental, psychologically intense, and designed to blur the line between cinematic storytelling and reality in a way audiences haven’t experienced before,” he concluded.
