Netflix Shares First Look at Season 3 of ‘Wednesday’: Sneak Peek from Paris
Production of the popular series *Wednesday* has expanded its reach to the City of Love, Paris, France.
Season 3 recently shared a striking image of its lead character, the pigtailed Wednesday Addams, standing before the Eiffel Tower. The photo is accompanied by the caption, “From Paris, with dread. De Paris, avec effroi,” with the French term “effroi” translating to “fear” in English.
While primary filming for *Wednesday* will continue in Ireland, the addition of Paris as a filming location underscores its proximity. However, fans are left speculating about how the French setting ties into the overarching narrative, which centers around Nevermore Academy in Jericho, Vermont. One theory proposed by a viewer suggests a connection to character Enid’s transformation into a werewolf.
Filming for Season 3 commenced in Ireland at the end of February 2026, featuring new cast members including Chris Sarandon (*Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride*), Noah Taylor (*Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones*), Oscar Morgan (*A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights*), Kennedy Moyer (*Task, Roofman*), and Winona Ryder, known for her roles in *Stranger Things* and *Beetlejuice*.
Watch on Deadline
Ryder has been cast as Tabitha, while Taylor will portray Cyrus, Morgan takes on the role of Atticus, and Moyer will play Daisy. Each of these new characters features a prominent monogram above their names in a promotional video announcing the start of production.
Chris Sarandon’s character has been identified as Balthazar, a name familiar to fans of the Addams family lore, although Cousin Balthazar is typically noted to be deceased in the series’ history.
Eva Green, recognized for her performances in *Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children* and *Dark Shadows*, will join the cast as Ophelia, sister to Morticia Addams. Returning cast members include Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, and Luis Guzmán as Gomez. Additionally, Joanna Lumley, who plays Grandmama Hester Frump, has been elevated to a series regular, while Noah B. Taylor, who portrayed Enid’s werewolf love interest Bruno, will not return for the new season.
In early April, the cast welcomed new guest stars Lena Headey (*Game of Thrones*), Andrew McCarthy (*St. Elmo’s Fire*), and James Lance (*Ted Lasso*).
Fans of the series will need to wait, as Season 3 is not expected to debut on Netflix until 2027.
