Netflix Brings You ‘Dang!’, a New Adult Animated Series Featuring Stephanie Hsu, Poppy Liu, and Andrew Law from ‘The Good Place’ Team
Netflix has officially ordered a series of the adult animated comedy Dang!, featuring the collaborative talents of The Good Place alumni Andrew Law, Matt Murray, and Mike Schur as executive producers. Law is set to star alongside Stephanie Hsu, known for her roles in Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Rocky Horror Show, and Poppy Liu, recognized for her work in His & Hers and Hacks. The series is produced by Universal Television, with animation provided by Titmouse, and is expected to premiere later this year.
Written by Law and Murray, who will serve as showrunners, Dang! revolves around a brother (Law) and sister (Liu) navigating their chaotic lives in New York City, only to have their world disrupted by a visit from their high-achieving older sister (Hsu).
Schur, who has a longstanding collaborative history with Law and Murray, has been deeply involved in the creative development of the series. The executive production team also includes Alan Yang (Master of None), David Miner from 3Arts Entertainment, Chris Prynoski (The Legend of Vox Machina), Shannon Prynoski (Scavengers Reign), Ben Kalina (Big Mouth), and Antonio Canobbio (Digman) from Titmouse. Universal Television, part of the Universal Studio Group, oversees the production, where Schur currently holds an overall deal.

Schur and Murray’s previous collaborations include prominent series such as Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, along with Murray’s co-creation of Sunnyside and Schur’s latest Netflix project, A Man in the Inside. Law has also contributed to Hacks, which Schur executive produces.
Law expressed excitement about the partnership, remarking, “We’re beyond thrilled to partner with Netflix, Universal Television, and Titmouse on Dang!. We hope that you fall in love with these characters. Or at least find them very, very attractive. Sexually.”
Dang! joins a robust lineup of upcoming adult animated comedies on Netflix, including Strip Law, Mating Season, Alley Cats, and the second seasons of Haunted Hotel and Long Story Short.
