Adrien Brody Shares a Lighthearted Take on His Dramatic Side in His First Super Bowl Ad in 15 Years: A Fun and Liberating Experience

Adrien Brody is making a return to the Super Bowl advertising arena after a 15-year hiatus. The accomplished actor, now 52, will portray a TurboTax agent in an ad that will air during Super Bowl LX, scheduled for next month at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
An exclusive teaser for the commercial humorously highlights Brody’s well-known persona as a dramatic actor. In this light-hearted spot, he showcases that he can ease up the dramatic intensity, thanks to TurboTax’s user-friendly approach to tax season.
“TurboTax came up with this concept that is just so fun, hilarious, and relatable,” Brody explained. “I think the drama of tax season, combined with my identity as a dramatic actor wanting to delve deep into that, makes for a great comedic moment, especially since TurboTax simplifies the process.”

A 45-second version of Brody’s commercial will air just before halftime, followed by a 30-second teaser that will be shown during the pre-game. Additionally, a 15-second spot is expected to run before kickoff of the game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
An extended two-minute cut will also be released, featuring additional content that will be available across the brand’s digital channels, in new retail locations, and in cinemas nationwide.

Brody, who is also set to make his Broadway debut in The Fear of 13, described his collaboration with TurboTax and director Craig Gillespie as enjoyable. He appreciated the atmosphere on set, noting that it was filled with laughter and allowed for improvisation, which added to the fun of the project.
“I think it’s a great product, and I get to support something that’s helpful to people,” Brody stated, expressing confidence that viewers will find enjoyment in the TurboTax advertisement—a welcome dose of humor during a typically stressful time.
Brody’s TurboTax commercial will debut during Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
