Natalie Portman’s New Look: A Fresh Blonde Bob with Bangs
Natalie Portman Unveils Bold New Look Ahead of Sundance Premiere
Actress Natalie Portman has revealed a striking new hairstyle, debuting a blonde bob with bangs in a recent social media post reflecting on the past year. This transformation is part of her preparation for the upcoming film The Gallerist, directed by Cathy Yan, which is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this year.
In her Instagram update, Portman stated, “2025 had so much light—amazing filming experiences with Cathy Yan and Lena Dunham, releasing Arco, trips to Italy, Turkey and Kenya, so much beautiful art and music, and lots of amazing time with friends and family. Happy new year 2026! Wishing you all joy and fulfillment.” The blonde bob marks a departure from her typical brown locks, leaving fans noting her near-unrecognizability.
The film The Gallerist features Portman in the role of Polina Polinski, a gallerist hosting an early exhibition for the art influencer Dalton Hardberry, played by Zach Galifianakis. The narrative follows their interactions as they explore the work of emerging artist Stella Burgess, portrayed by Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Earlier, Portman gave her followers a sneak peek of her blonde hair via Instagram, sharing the excitement about The Gallerist’s upcoming Sundance debut. “We’re off to #SundanceFilmFestival! Can’t wait for you to experience THE GALLERIST at the 2026 fest,” she wrote. Portman additionally highlighted the film’s unique setting at Art Basel Miami, where her character devises an unconventional plan to market a distinctive artwork.
This isn’t Portman’s first foray into blonde hair; she previously dyed her hair for her role in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
As anticipation builds for her new project, Portman’s latest look and performance are sure to garner significant attention at Sundance.
