Los Angeles, CA – A series of thrilling matchups unfolded in the City and Southern Sections for both baseball and softball, showcasing impressive performances from various high schools.
In City Section baseball, Bravo edged out Franklin with a close score of 5-4, while Canoga Park defeated Panorama 9-6. Carson secured a narrow 2-1 victory against San Pedro, and Cleveland shut out Taft 2-0. Meanwhile, Collins Family claimed victory over Downtown Magnets by forfeit.
Eagle Rock triumphed over Lincoln, winning 7-2. El Camino Real also delivered a strong performance, defeating Chatsworth 6-2. Fremont dominated Dorsey with a 12-2 win, and beat AMIT 4-3. Granada Hills Kennedy narrowly bested North Hollywood 5-4, while Grant topped VAAS 6-4. Jefferson recorded a significant 8-0 victory against Manual Arts, and LACES overwhelmed Roybal, winning 16-0.
LA Hamilton and LA Marshall emerged victorious against Fairfax and LA Wilson, respectively, with scores of 16-8 and 5-3. Los Angeles defeated Diego Rivera 7-4, while Maywood CES achieved a resounding 23-0 win over Maywood Academy.
