Molly Griggs Cast in NBC’s New Drama Pilot ‘Puzzled’
EXCLUSIVE: Molly Griggs, known for her performance in The Residence, has been cast alongside Damon Wayans Jr. in NBC’s upcoming drama pilot, Puzzled. The project comes from writer Joey Falco and Universal Television.
In Puzzled, based on the novel The Puzzle Master by Danielle Trussoni, Wayans portrays Mike Brink, a former college athlete whose life takes a dramatic turn after surviving a tragic fire. Following a traumatic brain injury, he gains a unique perspective that allows him to assist local police in solving crimes.
Griggs will take on the role of Quinn Abbott, a sharp-witted detective with the Atlanta Police Department. Described as the top student in her class, Abbott is assertive and unafraid to correct others when necessary.
In addition to Wayans Jr. and Griggs, the cast includes Christina Elmore, who plays Angela, the head of the Atlanta P.D.’s Major Crimes Section.
Falco serves as executive producer of Puzzled, alongside Jordan Cerf of Linden Entertainment, with Trussoni also producing. Jesse Peretz has been appointed as both director and executive producer of the pilot.
Griggs recently portrayed a significant role in Netflix’s The Residence, featuring Uzo Aduba. Her extensive credits include notable performances in Succession, Servant, Prodigal Son, and Dr. Death. Additionally, Griggs has appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-nominated play John Proctor Is the Villain, representing Paradigm and Perennial Entertainment.
