Mo Gilligan to Release Third Netflix Special ‘In The Moment’ Alongside Feature Documentary in 2026
EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has announced that In the Moment, the third special from British comedian Mo Gilligan, will premiere on February 3.
In this upcoming special, Gilligan explores themes of fame, family, and the experience of being British in America. This release follows his previous specials, Mo Gilligan: There’s Mo to Life and Mo Gilligan: Momentum, and was filmed at the O2 Arena in London.
Directed by Chris Howe, the special sees Gilligan serving as an executive producer alongside David Geli and Pollyanna McGirr.
In addition to this special, Gilligan is slated to release a feature documentary on Netflix in 2026, details of which have yet to be revealed but will showcase a new side of him.
“Netflix has supported me from the very beginning of my career, so I’m incredibly proud to announce a new content partnership with them,” Gilligan stated.
He added, “From taking my comedy global to pushing myself creatively in ways I never have before, this partnership marks my biggest moment yet. Grateful for the journey. Ready for what’s next. Let’s go 2026.”
Gilligan is a triple BAFTA winner and has been recognized as The Funniest Man in Britain by The Times. His debut stand-up tour sold out completely, featuring a two-week residency in London’s West End. This show was recorded as his first Netflix Original, Momentum. In 2021, he returned to the stage with There’s Mo to Life, which also sold out, including ten dates at Hammersmith Eventim Apollo and a show at the O2 Arena, with the corresponding Netflix special released in 2022.
Beyond stand-up, Gilligan has appeared on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, The Big Narstie Show, The Masked Singer, and The Masked Dancer UK. He launched the podcast Mo Gilligan: Beginning, Middle and End in 2024 and is represented by CAA, UTC Artist Management, and Davis Law Group.
