Miley Cyrus Shares Her Thoughts on a Potential Super Bowl Performance in 2027

As the year 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana and coincides with Miley Cyrus‘ rise to fame, the pop sensation has emerged as a strong candidate for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2027. However, Cyrus has offered her perspective on this high-profile opportunity.
In a cover story for Variety, which celebrates the upcoming anniversary special of Hannah Montana, Cyrus expressed her thoughts on the prospect. “I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure,” she remarked. “I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl, because then you can’t help but go, ‘It’s millions of people, and it’s the most watched thing in the world.’”
Despite her concerns, the Grammy winner believes she could rise to the occasion if she views the event as a celebration of her 20-year career rather than fixating on the audience size. She cites a similar approach taken for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, set to premiere on March 24 via Disney+.
“But if I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannah-versary was — taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is — I think I could find it in myself,” she noted, referencing the Big Game.
Launched in 2006, Hannah Montana catapulted Cyrus to international fame, serving as a pivotal moment in her music career. Since then, she has notched up 63 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including chart-toppers “Wrecking Ball” and “Flowers,” in addition to five albums reaching the top of the Billboard 200.
With such an extensive catalog, many fans believe Cyrus is a fitting choice to headline the next Super Bowl, scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This interest follows Bad Bunny’s dynamic performance in 2026. Additionally, her connections with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, stemming from her collaboration with Beyoncé on “II Most Wanted,” further bolster her credentials, as Roc Nation has been responsible for curating the halftime show performers since 2019.
