Although the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special has already aired, Miley Cyrus continues to celebrate this significant milestone.
On Wednesday, March 25, Cyrus took to her Instagram to announce the release of her new song “Younger You,” featured at the end of the special. The track is set to launch on Friday, March 27.
“Celebrating Hannah Montana isn’t just honoring a show, it’s a full-circle moment for me,” Cyrus wrote in her post. “HM was the beginning of the life I know now.”
The song serves not only as a tribute to Hannah Montana but also as a gesture of gratitude from the “Wrecking Ball” singer towards her fans who have supported her since the beginning, when she first donned the iconic blonde wig two decades ago.
Cyrus expressed her appreciation, stating, “The bond my fans and I share is as rare and beautiful as this whole journey has been. I adore you all and love you deeply. This anniversary special is a gift from me to younger you, my way of saying thank you for your loyalty and for growing with me every step of the way.”
The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, released on Tuesday, March 24, transported Cyrus and her fans back into the cherished world of Hannah Montana, reflecting on the series’ lasting impact. The program featured Disney recreating elements of the show’s set, allowing Cyrus and her parents to reunite, while Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper interviewed her. The special also showcased a performance by Cyrus, including renditions of beloved songs such as the theme “Best of Both Worlds” and “The Climb” for a live audience.
