Mila Kunis Shares Insight on Kids’ New Interests
During a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, actress Mila Kunis shared insights about her children’s latest interests, noting that her husband, Ashton Kutcher, is teaching their daughter, Wyatt, jiu-jitsu.
Kunis, who is a mother of two, including 11-year-old Wyatt and 9-year-old Dimitri, explained the family dynamic surrounding their children’s recent activity. "My husband started doing jiu-jitsu classes with my daughter and her friends to teach them self-defense," Kunis told the hosts, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. "They’re like 11-year-olds. They get together and then — my son sometimes does it — they all learn… a little self-defense."
The couple, married since 2015, welcomed their first child, Wyatt, on October 1, 2014, and their second child, Dimitri, on November 30, 2016.
Kutcher has previously emphasized his commitment to fatherhood, stating, "For me, the No. 1 role I will ever play is father. It’s the most important role in my life." He shared this sentiment during the February 2023 premiere of his movie Your Place or Mine.
In 2021, Kunis discussed their parenting strategies, particularly during the pandemic. She described a creative solution for keeping their kids entertained. "We’ve done every craft humanly possible. We’ve now allocated trash as crafts… so we have a thing called Happy Trash. You guys can take that and run with it," she explained, adding that the initiative allows the children to create projects from recyclable materials, fostering both creativity and resourcefulness.
In March 2020, while speaking on Brit Morin’s podcast Teach Me Something New, the couple highlighted their inspiration from classic television families in imparting lessons to their children. "We’re like Full House, okay? We always have to have like a learning curve in there," Kunis remarked, emphasizing the importance of integrating life lessons into stories shared with their kids.
As their children continue to develop new skills and interests, both Kunis and Kutcher remain engaged in fostering an environment conducive to learning and creativity.
