Mick Cronin Signs Five-Year Contract with UCLA, Reflecting on His Journey
UCLA has officially secured men’s basketball coach Mick Cronin with a lucrative five-year contract valued at $4.5 million annually, extending through the 2029-30 season, as revealed in documents obtained by The Times.
The agreement, signed in May, had not been made public due to ongoing financial concerns at the university. It includes substantial buyout protections along with performance bonuses linked to the team’s success in postseason tournaments.
Cronin has achieved a remarkable 145-67 record over his seven seasons with the Bruins. Under his leadership, the team reached the Final Four in 2021 and has made two appearances in the Sweet 16.
