Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar-Jones Share Exciting New Footage from ‘A Place In Hell’ at CinemaCon
Neon has released a first-look trailer for its upcoming winter psychological thriller, A Place In Hell, featuring acclaimed actors Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar-Jones. The film, crafted by writer-director Chloe Domont, known for Fair Play, follows the intense rivalry between two formidable lawyers embroiled in a high-stakes case.
In a gripping moment from the trailer, Edgar-Jones delivers a chilling statement as her character, an ambitious young attorney, confronts Williams’ seasoned lawyer: “I’m not just going to replace you… I am going to destroy your f–king life… It’s you or me.”
The trailer debuted during CinemaCon, the premier exhibition industry conference held in Las Vegas, and the film is anticipated to hit theaters on December 25.
Williams portrays a ruthless criminal defense attorney on the cusp of partnership whose aspirations are threatened when she faces competition from a younger colleague, played by Edgar-Jones. As their rivalry intensifies, both women are compelled to collaborate on a complex case that drives them to dangerous extremes.
Produced by MRC and T-Street and co-financed by Neon, MRC, and Republic Pictures, A Place In Hell is positioned as a significant release for the season.
In addition to A Place In Hell, Neon also showcased a teaser for the sci-fi thriller Hope, directed by Na Hong-Jin. Set to compete at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Hope is currently in post-production and features an international cast, including Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Hoyeon, Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, Taylor Russell, and Cameron Britton.
The plot centers on a police chief in the remote village of Hope Harbor, located near the Demilitarized Zone, as he confronts alarming reports of a tiger sighting that incites panic among the local youth.
Neon’s presentation at CinemaCon also included upcoming horror films Hokum and Leviticus, alongside Boots Riley’s much-anticipated caper comedy, I Love Boosters.
