Metro Limits Access to Internal Computer Systems Following Security Breach
Metro Limits Access to Internal Systems Following Unauthorized Activity
Los Angeles—Metro has announced a restriction on access to its internal administrative computer systems due to unauthorized activity detected within those systems. This decision has led to station monitors being unable to display arrival times.
Metro customers attempting to add funds to their TAP cards may face difficulties when using the agency’s website or customer service lines. As a result, Metro is recommending customers use ticket vending machines for these transactions instead.
Despite the restrictions on internal systems, both rail and bus services remain fully operational. Metro has confirmed that customer and employee data has not been compromised in this incident.
The agency is actively working to restore access while conducting a series of security checks to ensure the integrity of its systems.
