Meghan Markle Dons a $26K Cartier Watch While Serving the Homeless in Australia
Meghan Markle arrived in Melbourne on Tuesday, embarking on a four-day tour of Australia alongside Prince Harry. This marks their first joint visit since their royal tour in 2018.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, began her day with a visit to the Royal Children’s Hospital, followed by a stop at McAuley Community Services for Women, where she donned an apron and served lunch to residents. For these engagements, she wore a navy Karen Gee Priscilla dress, priced at $892, adorned with gold double-breasted buttons, complemented by her signature Dior pumps.
Markle’s look evoked memories of her first trip to Australia eight years ago, where she also wore a piece from the Sydney-based designer. According to a press release from Gee’s team, the duchess personally selected items from the collection for this tour. She accessorized with Princess Diana’s gold Cartier Tank Française watch, a Cartier Love bracelet, and playful Puffy Hearts earrings by Real Fine Studio.
For the day’s conclusion at the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum, Markle transitioned to a khaki suede bomber jacket paired with a matching maxi skirt from the Byron Bay brand St. Agni. She layered this over a taupe P.Johnson knit top and opted for new nude Aquazzura pumps.
Throughout her engagements, Markle highlighted four Australian designers, including Karen Gee and St. Agni, continuing her tradition of supporting local talent on international trips. Searches for Gee’s dresses soared dramatically after Markle’s previous appearances in the brand during her first Australian tour.
The couple’s itinerary includes further engagements in Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney, where they will focus on mental health, veterans’ support, and community resilience initiatives.
