Eli Craig Expands Cast of Holiday Horror Film White Elephant
Eli Craig, known for his work on Clown in a Cornfield, has finalized the casting for his upcoming holiday horror film, White Elephant. The announcement follows a previous report detailing the film’s lead actors, Nick Jonas and Kathryn Newton.
Joining the cast are KJ Apa from Riverdale, Madeleine Arthur from Devil in Ohio, Josh Brener from Silicon Valley, Ashley Park from Emily in Paris, Alexandra Shipp from Anyone but You, and Justice Smith from I Saw the TV Glow. Production for the film is currently underway.
White Elephant is the inaugural project from MRC’s collaboration with RSPX, a partnership with Radio Silence and Project X that focuses on horror and thriller ventures. The film features the premise: eight friends, one prize, and zero trust, as their annual festive holiday gift exchange devolves into a dangerous game of Christmas chaos.
Craig is directing from a script by JT Billings, who has contributed to the writing alongside Craig. The film is being financed by MRC, with Jonas and Spencer Berman producing under Powered By Jonas, alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt from Project X, as well as Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin. Executive producers include Billings, Ryan McDonough, Amanda Drake, Newton, Scott Levine, and Chad Villella.
The cast members are represented by various agencies: Apa by UTA, Luber Roklin Entertainment, Mandy Jacobsen, Red 11 Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Arthur by Brave Artists Management, Gersh, and MoGood Talent Management; Brener by Artists First, Kohner Agency, and Dan Fox at Hansen, Jacobson, Teller; Park by CAA and Michael Auerbach; Shipp by Neon Kite, CAA, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman; and Smith by WME and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
