British actor Rowan Atkinson, best known for his iconic role as Mr. Bean, leads a fulfilling family life beyond the screen. To his three children—Ben, Lily, and Isla—he is simply known as Dad.
Atkinson has two children, Ben and Lily, from his first marriage to makeup artist Sunetra Sastry, and a daughter, Isla, from his current relationship with actress Louise Ford. His creative influence is evident in Lily, who has carved out a path as a musician and visual artist, while Ben is serving in a specialized unit of the British Army, and Isla is growing up in South Oxfordshire, England.
Here’s a closer look at Rowan Atkinson’s children: Ben, Lily, and Isla.

Ben Atkinson, born on September 9, 1993, is a graduate of Exeter University. He currently serves in the British Army, where he gained acceptance into Sandhurst, the prestigious military academy that has also trained figures like Prince William and Prince Harry.
“I dunno what this letter is but apparently The Royal Military Academy want me to come and attend them. Sounds like fun,” he remarked on Facebook upon receiving his acceptance.
In 2018, Ben was among the recruits who stood with Emmanuel Macron and Theresa May at Sandhurst during a summit meeting. Following his training, he joined the Gurkhas after spending months in Nepal to learn about the culture.
In an amusing update from the Gurkha Brigade Association, it was noted that “Lt Atkinson grasped the language remarkably quickly,” potentially due to his background in Arabic and Spanish. The report highlighted his enthusiasm for learning local dance moves, stating, “Lt Atkinson was quick to establish an impressive ‘uthyo basyo’ (an up-down rapid squatting dance-move).”

Lily Atkinson was born on July 11, 1995, and has followed her father’s artistic path. She is a singer-songwriter and cabaret performer who has taken the stage at venues like the Pheasantry in London and the St. James Studio.
In a 2016 interview, she discussed her journey into music, saying, “I had always been a writer, but I was about 14/15 when I really started writing music. I just loved writing stories and poems, coming up with melodies; I was always challenging myself.”
When describing her musical style, Lily identified it as “R&B, soul, pop, with a bit of funk.” She has chosen to use her mother’s maiden name, Sastry, as part of her stage identity, but also hashtags her posts with “#lilyatkinson.”
Recently, she has been active in music production as part of the electronic music duo called ilivati, and her visual art, including acrylic-on-canvas works, can be seen on her social media platforms.

Rowan Atkinson and his girlfriend, Louise Ford, welcomed their daughter Isla in December 2017. The couple began dating in 2014 after Atkinson’s separation from Sastry, having met while performing in the play Quartermaine’s Terms.
Information about Isla remains limited, as neither parent has publicly commented on her in interviews.
