Maya Hawke Shares Exciting News About Her New Album Maitreya Corso and Upcoming 2026 US Tour
Maya Hawke is set to release her fourth studio album, Maitreya Corso, on May 1st through Mom + Pop Music. The singer-songwriter has also unveiled the album’s first single, "Devil You Know," alongside an announcement of her upcoming U.S. tour dates.
This new project showcases Hawke’s creative evolution, with Maitreya Corso co-written and produced by regular collaborators Christian Lee Hutson, Benjamin Lazar Davis, and Jonathan Low. In a recent statement, Hawke described the album’s titular character as a “magical misfit” who navigates the tension between personal invention and the constraints of societal expectations. She elaborated that this character’s unique perspective allows her to "explore the positive and negative power of the ego."
To promote the album, Hawke will embark on a spring 2026 U.S. tour, beginning in Woodstock, New York, on April 10th. The tour includes stops in several major cities, including Brooklyn, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Boston. The tour will conclude with a performance on May 2nd at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.
"Devil You Know," the first single from the album, introduces listeners to its distinct musical style. The track features a vocoder-enhanced chorus, lending a unique harmony to the verses, which showcase Hawke’s rapid-fire lyrical delivery. She expresses that the song addresses the challenge of maintaining integrity in creativity, stating, “‘Devil You Know’ is about trying to keep ambition and greed out of the creative process.” Hawke emphasizes that the entire album navigates themes of safeguarding artistry from destructive influences.
Hawke’s last album, Chaos Angel, was released in 2024, followed by a new EP, Clipped Wings, later that year. She previously discussed her music and acting career, including her role in the final season of Stranger Things, during an appearance on the show Kyle Meredith With….
