Margot Robbie’s Affordable $6 Lip Tint in ‘Wuthering Heights’
Margot Robbie Shines in ‘Wuthering Heights’ with Accessible Beauty Secrets
Margot Robbie is capturing attention on her press tour for the film "Wuthering Heights," which is performing impressively at the box office. While her fashion choices have showcased elegant corseted designs, it’s the makeup featured in the film that has drawn significant interest for its accessibility.
Siân Miller, the film’s head makeup artist, shared that she relied heavily on Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm—priced at a modest $6—while working on set. This product was chosen specifically to minimize the appearance of noticeable lip lines, allowing Robbie’s character to maintain a natural look.
Robbie has expressed her fondness for this lip balm long before the film’s release. In a 2016 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she stated, “I don’t like wearing lipstick because I get it all over my face, so I wear lip balm with a bit of a stain, like Burt’s Bees.”
Additionally, the actress also enhances her character Cathy’s looks with Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lipstick, which she applies after moving to the luxurious Thrushcross Grange, signifying a shift to a more polished appearance.
Miller’s expertise extended beyond lip products; she employed a range of blushes to create varied looks for Robbie’s character. For scenes at the Grange, she opted for products such as Pat McGrath’s Divine Cream Blush and Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in shades that evoke a youthful glow. Miller explained that the inspiration for these looks came from the "pomegranate girl" TikTok trend of 2024, aiming for a fresh, flushed aesthetic.
In scenes that depict Cathy’s earlier struggles, Miller crafted a more subdued cheek look using Chanel’s No. 1 de Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm. This approach elicited tenderness, reflecting the character’s youthful innocence.
Finally, for Isabella, played by Alison Oliver, the team opted for Kylie Cosmetics Hybrid Blush in Winter Flush, contributing to a doll-like rosy finish. Miller emphasized the significance of hair and makeup in storytelling, stating, “I hope it’s really helped to tell the story.”
As "Wuthering Heights" continues to enchant audiences, it seems Robbie’s beauty secrets might inspire fans seeking a blend of elegance and affordability in their own makeup routines.
