Home Invasion Investigated in Toluca Woods
LOS ANGELES – Authorities are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Toluca Woods on Friday night. The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. at a residence on Sancola Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
At least one intruder forcibly entered the home by breaking a window or glass door while the homeowner was present. LAPD officers responded to the scene within minutes, but the suspect or suspects had already fled by the time they arrived.
Repair crews were observed at the location shortly after, tending to the shattered glass. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in relation to the break-in.
As of now, the LAPD has not released any descriptions of the suspect or suspects, nor have they provided information about a potential getaway vehicle. It remains unclear whether any items were stolen during the incident.
Detectives are currently reviewing security camera footage that may contain evidence related to the break-in. Local residents are advised to check their own surveillance systems for any signs of suspicious activity from that evening and to report any pertinent information to the authorities.
