Madonna Shares That Her Vintage Coachella Outfit Has Gone Missing Days After Her Surprise Performance
Madonna has reached out to her followers for assistance following the disappearance of a vintage costume she wore during her surprise performance at Coachella 2026.
Expressing her excitement, the 67-year-old pop icon wrote on her Instagram Story on April 20, three days after being invited onstage by Sabrina Carpenter. "Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella! Thank you to Sabrina and everyone who made it possible," she posted.
Madonna reflected on the significance of the event, stating, “Bringing Confessions II back to where it began was such a thrill! This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing — my costume that was pulled from my personal archives — jacket, corset, dress and all other garments.” The singer added that these items “aren’t just clothes; they are part of my history,” and noted that other archival items from the same area have also vanished.
The singer concluded her appeal with hopes that someone might recover the lost artifacts, offering a reward for their safe return. “I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team,” she said.
Madonna later shared images of the missing ensemble, which she had donned during both her Coachella debut in 2006 and her recent performance with Carpenter on April 17. During the show, the two performed Madonna’s classics “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer,” along with debuting a new track from her upcoming album, set to release on July 3.
During her performance, Madonna reminisced, mentioning, “Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella,” recalling her early days in a dance tent. She remarked, “So, you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later. It’s, like, a full-circle moment, you know?”
Further emphasizing the unifying power of music, she said, “The great thing about music is that it brings people together. … I am thrilled to be a part of that healing experience of bringing people together.” She concluded by quoting lyrics from her previous album, inviting a collective spirit among her audience.
