Madonna, Michael Keaton, and Julia Garner Seen in Venice for Season 2 of ‘The Studio’
Six months after Seth Rogen visited the Venice Film Festival for location scouting, filming has commenced for the second season of the Apple-backed hit show The Studio in the iconic Italian city.
The production has drawn attention with guest stars Madonna, Michael Keaton, Julia Garner, and Donald Glover joining returning cast members Bryan Cranston, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. Local paparazzi have captured several of these stars on set.
Madonna has been an active presence in Venice, sharing images and videos of her experiences on the city’s celebrated canals. In her latest Instagram post, she recreated the gondola scene from her 1984 hit “Like a Virgin,” alongside Garner. The two donned traditional gondolier straw boater hats while lip-synching the song’s lyrics.
Rogen and his cast have also been sighted filming at the luxurious Gritti Palace hotel, located near the Grand Canal and close to the main venue of the Venice Film Festival, the Palazzo del Cinema.
Additionally, Variety has reported that Venice Film Festival director Alberto Barbera, recently renewed for 2027 and 2028, will make a cameo appearance in the show.
