Trending on Billboard
“Bring Your Love,” the latest collaboration between Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter, has secured the top spot in this week’s new music poll. The results were released on Friday, May 1, showcasing the song as the favorite among listeners.
The poll, published by Billboard, illustrates the popularity of “Bring Your Love,” which triumphed against new releases from artists such as Zara Larsson, Kacey Musgraves, and Bella Poarch. By the close of voting on Sunday, Madonna and Carpenter had garnered an impressive 88.99% of the total votes.
The song’s release coincided with a promotional event over the weekend, where a teaser for Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions II, was featured ahead of The Devil Wears Prada 2 screenings. The teaser includes appearances by Madonna and Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, building anticipation for the album set to launch on July 3.
“Bring Your Love” is characterized as an energetic duet designed for the dancefloor. The single was first introduced during Madonna’s surprise appearance at Carpenter’s Coachella performance, with the studio version officially released recently. Accompanying the track is a vibrant visualizer that highlights the song’s lyrics prominently. The verses include bold declarations such as, “Don’t comment on my ideas/ I don’t want your judgment or your expectations” alongside a poignant chorus: “Bring your love ’cause you cannot shake me/ Bring your love ’cause you’ll never break me.”
Madonna co-produced “Bring Your Love” with her longtime collaborator Stuart Price, known for his work on her earlier album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, and his role as musical director for several of her tours.
Trailing closely behind “Bring Your Love” in the latest poll are Bella Poarch’s “Ribcage,” Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun: Girls Trip album, Kacey Musgraves’ Middle of Nowhere, and the soundtrack for The Devil Wears Prada 2. The sequel to the 2006 film has had a successful opening, earning $77 million in North America and $156.6 million overseas, for a global total of $233.6 million.
