Lyas Medini Stuns in Bold Look at the 2025 British Fashion Awards: Embracing Individuality
Influencer Lyas Medini made a striking appearance at the 2025 British Fashion Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall on December 1. The 26-year-old donned a daring outfit designed by Jean Paul Gaultier that turned heads throughout the evening.
Medini’s ensemble showcased a long-sleeve top adorned with a printed depiction of chest hair and nipples, paired with pants that featured a lifelike bulge and additional hair details. He complemented the bold outfit with simple black sandals and opted to forgo accessories. A splash of color was added to his look with bright pink lipstick, while his slicked-back black hair featured a single curl resting on his forehead.
The reaction from fans was mixed, taking to Instagram to express their opinions. Stylist Harrison Thomas Crite commented, “JAIL,” while fellow content creator Bruno Castilho Ribeiro quipped, “For the love of god.” Among the more positive feedback, one admirer rated the look “10/10,” and others praised Medini’s audacity, with remarks such as, “Finally someone has the bravery to wear this and pull this off.”
In the moments on the red carpet, Medini shared additional insights on his outfit with Hypebae. “I have padding in my ass,” he remarked while greeting model Alex Consani. He explained that he wore Gaultier’s design in an effort to reclaim its narrative in the fashion world. Consani agreed, affirming, “I think naked is back.”
The creative director of Jean Paul Gaultier, Duran Lantink, recently discussed the controversial line with WWD, stating that instead of relying on Gaultier’s archives, he envisioned “a fantasy of all these memories” and reinterpreted them. He expressed awareness that his innovative approach might not align with public expectations, saying, “I’m probably going to be slaughtered for it.”
