Lucy Loveridge Steps Down as YMU Global Entertainment Leader After Four Years
Exclusive: Lucy Loveridge Exits YMU After Four Years
Lucy Loveridge, Managing Director of global entertainment at YMU, is set to leave the agency after a four-year tenure. Her departure was announced in a LinkedIn post, where she expressed pride in her team’s accomplishments during her time.
Loveridge joined YMU in 2022, initially tasked with overseeing the creator division under CEO Mary Bekhait. In 2024, her role expanded to encompass global entertainment, managing high-profile clients such as Davina McCall and Fearne Cotton. In her post, she credited Bekhait for supporting her transition to lead the newly combined creator and entertainment division, emphasizing its industry-standard setting. “I stepped into the entertainment side wanting to learn, and I’m so grateful for how generously the team and our clients brought me in,” she wrote.
Loveridge, who is scheduled to depart in April, has not disclosed her future plans. Before joining YMU, she was a managing partner at rival agency Gleam Futures.
In an email to staff this morning, Bekhait confirmed Loveridge’s exit and announced that she would assume the MD role on an interim basis until a successor is appointed. Further details regarding succession plans are expected to follow soon.
YMU, which also represents celebrities like Simon Cowell and Graham Norton, has undergone significant changes recently. The agency has seen several staff departures, including in its U.S. division, amidst a wave of new signings and the establishment of a fund to support talent and creator-led ventures. In 2024, YMU was sold to private lending firm Permira Credit in a deal valued at just under £60 million ($82 million).
