Smallzy posed the question, “I think you’ve done tour dates for some parts of the world, is that right?”
“Yeah, Australia dates aren’t out there yet, though,” Tomlinson replied.
Responding to Smallzy’s mention of a side-eye emoji Tomlinson had previously posted regarding Australian dates, the artist leaned into the speculation.
“I always find the question kind of funny because as long as I’ve been touring, I’ve always come to Aus. It’s inevitable,” Tomlinson stated. “I love it there, I love it. So yeah, I’ll definitely, definitely be there. I think we’re just — it can’t be too long until we announce, to be honest.”
As Smallzy humorously warned against raising fans’ hopes, Tomlinson reassured him.
“No, it’s happening. Don’t mind them. It’s happening. The tour’s happening. Get your tickets soon,” he emphasized.
These comments come as Tomlinson gears up for his tour to promote his recently released album, How Did I Get Here?, the third installment in his solo career following 2020’s Walls and 2022’s Faith In The Future.
Tomlinson made his Australian solo debut in July 2022 and returned for a three-date East Coast run in January and February 2024, blending tracks from Faith In The Future with popular songs from his One Direction days, including “Drag Me Down” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go,” along with a cover of the Arctic Monkeys’ “505.”
While specific tour dates and venues remain unconfirmed, Tomlinson’s remarks suggest that an official announcement may be forthcoming, keeping Australian fans firmly on his touring agenda.
