Leslie Grossman Joins the Cast of the Final Season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan
EXCLUSIVE: Leslie Grossman, known for her roles in American Horror Story and Love, Victor, has joined the recurring cast of the hit Starz series Power Book III: Raising Kanan for its upcoming fifth and final season.
Grossman will portray Florence “Flossie” Siegel, Manhattan’s most notorious madam. While Flossie appears to lead a polished and luxurious life, her tough and shrewd demeanor is a reflection of her upbringing as the daughter of a Jewish mobster.
The series Power Book III: Raising Kanan delves into the early life of the infamous Power villain Kanan Stark, originally portrayed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in the flagship series. It chronicles Kanan’s transformation from a naïve teenager into a ruthless adversary. Season 4 featured a dramatic clash between Kanan and his mother, Raq (Patina Miller), culminating in unexpected deaths and the return of a beloved character.
This character is Branford ‘Breeze’ Frady (Shameik Moore), the nephew of legendary street figures Snaps (Wendell Pierce) and Pop (Erika Woods). While Breeze’s initial encounter with Kanan at the Season 4 finale was less than welcoming, it set the stage for a new partnership that connects the prequel with the flagship series.

When the series returns later this year, fans will discover Raq’s fate after the jarring conclusion of Season 4, where Kanan shot her, believing she was responsible for the deaths of those he holds dear, including his friend Famous (Antonio Ortiz) and his girlfriend Krystal (Aliyah Turner).
It is guaranteed that Kanan will survive this season and advance to the new Power: Origins series. This series will feature young versions of Ghost (Spence Moore II) and Tommy (Charlie Mann) as they navigate their ambitions in the streets of New York City. Sascha Penn, the creator and showrunner of Raising Kanan, will also serve in the same capacity for Power: Origins.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp, the creator and showrunner of the original Power, under her production company End of Episode. The project is also backed by 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film and Television, with Mark Canton contributing through Atmosphere Entertainment. Additional executive producers include Chris Selak and Kevin Fox, while Lionsgate Television produces the series for Starz.
Grossman’s recent work includes appearances in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, Love, Victor, and The Goldbergs. She first gained fame as Mary Cherry in the series Popular and later starred for four seasons on What I Like About You. Her extensive television repertoire also includes roles in Nobody Wants This, Goliath, Shrill, Black-ish, Fuller House, The Good Place, 2 Broke Girls, Dexter, and Grey’s Anatomy. Grossman is represented by Innovative Artists and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
