Oscar-Nominated Filmmaker Lee Knight Signs with United Agents and TFC Management
Oscar-nominated writer-director Lee Knight has signed representation agreements with United Agents and TFC Management, marking a new chapter in his burgeoning career.
At TFC Management in the United States, Knight will be managed by Cecily Pierce, Danielle Robinson, and Brett Rosen. Meanwhile, in the UK, his interests will be overseen by Christian Ogunbanjo and Jonny Jones at London-based United Agents. Public relations will be handled by Catherine Lyn Scott at London Flair.
Knight’s acclaimed film, A Friend of Dorothy, premiered at London’s Raindance Film Festival and has since enjoyed an extensive festival run, eventually earning an Oscar nomination. In Europe, the film has been acquired by Disney+.
The narrative centers on an intergenerational friendship between octogenarian Dorothy, portrayed by Miriam Margolyes, and a young performer named JJ, played by Nwachukwu. The storyline delves into their quest for companionship amidst the complexities of life, with Knight drawing inspiration from a personal connection to his late neighbor. The film is executive produced by Stephen Daldry and Sonia Friedman.
