Last One Laughing Podcast: Your Companion to the Prime Video UK Series

This Thursday, March 19, Season 2 of Prime Video UK original LOL: Last One Laughing will premiere, accompanied by a new companion audio show from Audible titled The Last Laugh: The Last One Laughing Podcast.
Roisin Conaty, who plays the sidekick to presenter Jimmy Carr on the TV show, will host the podcast, marking her debut in this format. Conaty plans to dive into the show’s action, offer backstage insights, and share stories from the production. She will be joined by comedians from the first season and enthusiastic celebrity guests.
The lineup of guests includes Diane Morgan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, David Mitchell, and Gbemisola Ikumelo from the new season, alongside Season 1’s Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, Lou Sanders, and Sara Pascoe. Notable fans such as actress Natalie Cassidy, author Emily Dean, and stand-up Faitha El-Ghorri will also make appearances.

Gledhill and Kemsley will share their favorite moments from both seasons, while Wilkinson and Cassidy will reflect on the Season 2 cast, reminiscing about Wilkinson’s highlights from Season 1. Additionally, Morgan and Dean will engage in a conversation about the series.
The podcast is set to release episodes in tandem with the show: three episodes on March 19, two more on March 26, and a finale on April 2. It will be available on Audible and other podcast platforms, with Banijay companies Zeppotron and Initial producing the series for Audible Originals.
Conaty expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “It’s been a real treat for me getting to do my first podcast. The recording experience was an absolute joy, and I absolutely loved chatting about Last One Laughing and all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans with some of the funniest people around.”
The format of Last One Laughing, which originated from the Japanese show Documental, has seen various adaptations worldwide after Amazon acquired the international rights. However, there has yet to be a version produced in the U.S.
Last One Laughing features ten comedians who strive to make their opponents laugh while maintaining a stoic demeanor themselves.
