Las Vegas Set to Welcome Super Bowl LXIII in 2029
LAS VEGAS — The National Football League (NFL) has announced that Las Vegas will host the Super Bowl for the second time in 2029, following a decision made by team owners on Monday. This vote cements the city’s status as a premier destination for major sporting events.
Las Vegas’s return as a Super Bowl host came into focus after Kansas City triumphed over San Francisco 25-22 in overtime at Allegiant Stadium in February 2024. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed support for the city’s inclusion in the Super Bowl circuit, a shift from the league’s earlier hesitations concerning legalized sports betting.
"We’re excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans another incredible experience in one of America’s greatest sport and entertainment destinations,” Goodell said in a statement. "Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the scale, energy, and hospitality the city brings to global events. We look forward to working alongside the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Raiders, and the community to deliver an even greater experience this time around."
The 2024 Super Bowl will be broadcast by Fox, while plans for next year’s championship game will unfold at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The recent Super Bowl was held in Santa Clara, where Seattle emerged victorious over New England with a score of 29-13. Atlanta is set to host the 2028 Super Bowl.
As the NFL embraces this vibrant market, the growing partnership with local stakeholders promises exciting developments for the future of the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
