Landman Season 3 is Coming to Paramount+
Paramount+ Renews ‘Landman’ for Third Season Amid Strong Ratings
Paramount+ has officially renewed the hit oil drama series Landman for a third season, following its impressive ratings. Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, the series has captivated audiences with its exploration of the complexities of the oil industry.
Set against the backdrop of West Texas’s bustling boomtowns, Landman provides a modern narrative centered on fortune seekers within the oil rig sector. The show is inspired by the 11-part podcast “Boomtown” and portrays the stark contrasts between roughnecks and wildcat billionaires. It highlights the profound impact of the oil boom on climate, economy, and geopolitical dynamics.
In its second season, the story delves into the rising tensions as oil is extracted from the ground, exposing deep-rooted secrets. Tommy Norris, portrayed by Billy Bob Thornton, grapples with increasing pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Demi Moore), and family legacy. The struggle for survival in West Texas is depicted as a fierce and unforgiving endeavor, culminating in inevitable confrontation.
The ensemble cast of Landman includes notable actors such as Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, and Sam Elliott, alongside Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.
Under the executive production team of Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Billy Bob Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, and Stephen Kay, the series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.
