Model Charged with Burglary Linked to Dating Apps
A Los Angeles model and social media influencer faces serious legal trouble after being charged with multiple felony counts for allegedly burglarizing the homes of individuals she met on dating apps.
Adva Lavie, known by her alias Mia Ventura, was charged on Monday with six felonies, including two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, two counts of grand theft, and one count each of first-degree residential burglary with a person present and first-degree residential burglary. The 28-year-old has pleaded not guilty to all charges, according to Los Angeles County prosecutors.
Arraignment is set for April 6, and Lavie has been released from custody with an electronic ankle monitor. She has been ordered to maintain distance from her alleged victims.
Prosecutors claim that between 2023 and 2025, Lavie developed relationships with wealthy older men and younger women in affluent areas such as Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills. Posing as a girlfriend and travel companion, she allegedly gained access to their homes to steal cash, gold, and designer items.
If convicted, Lavie could face a sentence of up to 11 years and eight months in state prison. It remains unclear whether she has legal representation to comment on her behalf.
In October, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department appealed to the public for assistance in identifying additional victims. A Las Vegas podcast host reported that he and several women were among those targeted.
