Kristen Bell Signs On for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4’ at Paramount
Kristen Bell Joins Cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Kristen Bell has officially joined the cast of Paramount’s upcoming film Sonic the Hedgehog 4, where she will voice the beloved character Amy Rose. The addition was announced by Ben Schwartz, who returns to lend his voice to Sonic, via social media. The film is slated for release on March 19, 2027, with Schwartz reprising his role alongside director Jeff Fowler.
The production team includes Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara. The Sonic franchise has achieved significant commercial success, surpassing $1 billion in total box office revenue. The latest installment, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, became the highest-grossing film of the series, earning over $490 million worldwide.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 opened at No. 1 in the domestic box office for two consecutive weeks and achieved the top rank in over 30 international markets, including the U.K., Mexico, Italy, and Australia. Additionally, the film has generated over $180 million in global consumer spending through home entertainment rentals and purchases.
Most recently, Bell reprised her role in the second season of the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Nobody Wants This, where she also serves as an executive producer. Her recent film credits include leading roles in Amazon Prime’s comedy The People We Hate at the Wedding, alongside Allison Janney and Ben Platt, as well as Netflix’s parody comedy The Woman in the House.
