Kim Kardashian Expands Skims Lingerie Line with New Thong Featuring Built-In Pubic Wig
Kim Kardashian has once again stirred up attention with her latest creation for the Skims underwear line: a provocative thong adorned with faux pubic hair, dubbed “the ultimate bush.”
The reality TV star and entrepreneur has ignited a mix of curiosity and concern by introducing this unique piece, which comes in 12 colors and sizes ranging from XXS to 4XL. The attention-grabbing design features prominently on the Skims website, where visitors encounter a retro-themed game show image from the 1970s. A white-haired male host gestures towards a sign proclaiming, “Does the Carpet Match the Drapes?” surrounded by women holding question-mark signs.
The new item was promoted with the image of a 70s-style game show on Skims’ website.
Once customers click through to the product listing, they are greeted with the bold statement: “With this iconic new panty, your carpet can be whatever color you want it to be.” It describes the thong as Skims’ “most daring panty yet,” highlighting its handmade construction from super sheer stretch mesh, infused with both straight and curly faux hair in twelve different shades.
As of now, all versions of the garment appear to be sold out online, prompting interested buyers to join a waitlist.

The thong, which comes in 12 different colors, is apparently sold out.
Kardashian’s Skims brand has a history of generating headlines with its eye-catching products, previously featuring items such as underwear encrusted with Swarovski crystals, molded nipple bras, and facial shapewear. She promoted the new line through her Instagram stories, providing voiceover commentary while showcasing the products, saying, “How funny are these merkins, you guys? We have different colors, different hairs… this is insane. Skims, baby!”
Despite the innovative concept, the launch of the furry thong, priced at $32, has attracted skepticism on social media. Reactions have varied, with some users questioning Kardashian’s judgment and others pointing out the humorous nature of the item.
Liza Betts, a researcher and senior lecturer in Cultural and Historical Studies at London College of Fashion, expressed a critical perspective, stating, “What would be really shocking, is for Skims to really embrace the notion of the ‘Ultimate Bush’ and provide something that represents natural pubic hair rather than a trimmed, tinted, controlled, performative, tired version of the feminine.”
CNN has reached out to Skims for further comment on the product.
