Kenya Barris Appointed Vice Chair of Revolt Labs
Kenya Barris has been appointed Vice Chair of Revolt Labs, a new initiative aimed at helping creators transform their ideas into television and film projects.
The announcement follows the recent reorganization of Revolt TV, merging it with its music management division and brand marketing unit. This change comes a year after Offscript Worldwide consolidated these operations. Sean Combs, the company’s founder, has stepped away from his role.
Barris will focus on guiding talent in the development of high-quality projects for major distribution. “Revolt already had the foundation,” Barris stated. “My role is to help build the bridge from where creators start to where their ideas can ultimately go. I’m excited to work with these creators to help further build their platforms and businesses into thriving, sustainable empires.”

Detavio Samuels, CEO of Revolt and Offscript Worldwide, emphasized the initiative’s commitment to creators, saying, “Offscript was built to partner with creators as business builders, not just talent. Our alignment with Kenya reflects how we back creators as owners, while also strengthening the infrastructure that helps other creators in our ecosystem take premium ideas beyond their own platform. Kenya’s leadership expands what we can offer creators as they build lasting media businesses.”
