### Engagement and Wedding Plans
Kendra Scott and Zac Brown announced their engagement last July, revealing plans for a simple wedding this summer. Both Scott and Brown, who have each been married twice previously, aim for a low-key ceremony with just their children in attendance.
Scott, 51, expressed her enthusiasm for a less extravagant wedding. “We’ll have a small wedding this summer just with our kids,” she stated. “We’re not doing anything big… we’re at a stage in our lives where you know, simple is better.”
Brown, 47, shares five children with his ex-wife, while Scott has three sons from her previous marriages. They both agree that immediate family will suffice for their special day. “We already feel married in our hearts anyway, so we just want it to be something with our kids. This summer we’re going to go on a vacation somewhere and take the kids with us. And yeah, we can’t wait for it,” Scott added.

### Family Dynamics
In a recent interview, Scott mentioned how her three sons—Cade, 24, Beck, 21, and Grey, 12—have welcomed Brown into their family, humorously stating that they “put him through the wringer.”
“He really had to prove himself to them!” Scott said, adding, “They’re very protective of me. But they love him, and they’re excited for the wedding. They’re just so happy to see me so happy and peaceful, and with somebody that they know is taking good care of me.”

### Their Bond and Shared Values
Scott shared insights on how their mutual dedication to philanthropy initially drew them together. “That’s really what brought us together,” she explained, referencing Brown’s commitment to his camp for children, including those on the autism spectrum, and his veteran support programs.
“The Kendra Scott Foundation had already supported that locally, and we were talking about how else we could work together,” she noted, emphasizing their shared values.
“Our paths of wanting to use our creativity to do good in the world, and our unbelievable love for our children… There were just so many parallels, and we just connected in so many ways. And then when we met in person, you know, there was that spark.”
As the couple reflects on their journey together, both express contentment in their relationship. Brown succinctly remarked, “You know, it’s never too late to get it right. You got to keep fighting for love and believe in that. So I’m blessed.”
