KATSEYE Announces New Single "Pinky Up"
KATSEYE, the rising K-pop girl group under HYBE, recently unveiled their upcoming single titled “Pinky Up.” This announcement was made through a sequence of intriguing social media posts that began on March 30.
The first post featured a cryptic video of the Mona Lisa subtly lifting a steaming cup of tea with her pinky finger extended. On March 31, a subsequent post showcased an arcade claw machine adorned with “KATSEYE,” which humorously pulls a sword amidst a collection of glimmering stuffed animals and a lone tea cup. Accompanying this post was the caption, “We’re screaming from cloud nine!!”
The third reveal confirmed the new single and showcased its artwork. The image depicts someone kneeling on a carpet with a tea cup on a saucer next to a toy cat, adorned with the song’s title in vibrant pink lettering. The caption announced the release date and time: April 9 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.
“Pinky Up” is set to launch just before KATSEYE’s Coachella performance on April 10. This single marks the group’s first release since the announcement of member Manon Bannerman’s hiatus. Following Manon’s departure, KATSEYE has maintained a busy schedule, performing at Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Chile. On March 24, they were revealed as the headliners for the 2026 Head in the Clouds Music & Arts Festival, slated for August 8 in Pasadena, California.
