Emmy Winner Katherine LaNasa Joins Hulu’s ‘Count My Lies’
Katherine LaNasa, celebrated for her role in The Pitt and an Emmy Award winner, has been cast in Hulu’s upcoming limited series Count My Lies. The series is created by former This Is Us executive producers and co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.
In Count My Lies, LaNasa will portray Tracy, the mother of the central character Sloane, played by Shailene Woodley. Fans of LaNasa can rest assured, as she will be making a recurring appearance in this new project. Her current role as charge nurse Dana Evans in The Pitt continues, with Season 2 set to conclude on April 16.
The plot of Count My Lies revolves around Sloane Caraway, who, after weaving a web of lies, secures a nanny position with the glamorous Violet, played by Lindsay Lohan, and her husband, Jay Lockhart, portrayed by Kit Harington. However, Sloane soon discovers that the seemingly perfect household hides dark secrets that could lead to disastrous outcomes.
Based on Sophie Stava’s debut novel, the series is scripted and executive produced by Aptaker and Berger through The Walk-Up Company. Lohan, Woodley, and Scott Morgan are also part of the executive production team, while Stava serves as a producer. The project is under the banner of 20th Television, a subsidiary of Disney TV Studios.
LaNasa’s extraordinary performance in The Pitt earned her a nomination and subsequent win at the Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series during its first season. Aside from her current role, LaNasa is known for her appearances in several television series, including Truth Be Told alongside Octavia Spencer, Imposters, and Katy Keene featuring Lucy Hale. Her extensive television credits include noteworthy shows such as Seinfeld, E.R., Grey’s Anatomy, and Daredevil: Born Again.
In addition to her television work, LaNasa has starred in films like The Campaign and Jayne Mansfield’s Car, and has appeared in romantic comedies such as Valentine’s Day and Alfie. She is represented by WME, Luber Roklin, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
